Privacy

Murmur has no account, no analytics, and nothing to sell. What follows is the whole of it.

What Murmur collects about you

Nothing. There is no sign-in, no user account, and no profile. Meantime Studio does not receive your listening history, your subscriptions, your transcripts, or any identifier for your device.

No tracking, no advertising

Murmur contains no analytics, no crash-reporting service, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.

What stays on your device

Your subscriptions, listening positions, bookmarks, notes, downloaded episodes, and generated transcripts and chapters are stored on your device. They are not transmitted to Meantime Studio.

Transcription happens on your device

Murmur transcribes episodes using Apple's on-device speech recognition, and generates chapter titles using Apple's on-device language model. Your audio is not uploaded anywhere for transcription.

Who Murmur talks to

Children

Murmur is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
